Horus

Horus is an ancient Egyptian deity whose name originates from the Egyptian word "Hor", which means "the distant one". He was often depicted as a falcon or a man with the head of a falcon, symbolizing his role as the sky god and the sun god. Horus was also known as Ra-Horakhty, which combines the names of three major gods: Ra (the sun god), Horus (the sky god) and Khuti (the creator). According to Egyptian mythology, Horus was one of the most significant deities in ancient Egypt and was often associated with the pharaohs. His eyes were said to represent the moon and the sun, while his two feathers symbolized the power of the sky. Despite being a prominent figure in Egyptian mythology, there is no historical evidence of any major festival dedicated to Horus.
