Vahan

Vahan is a name of Armenian origin, derived from the Armenian verb "vahanem" which means "to call". It is often translated as "the called one" or "the summoned one". The name Vahan has a rich history in Armenian culture and literature. It was borne by several notable figures in Armenian history, including Vahan Mamikonian, a 5th-century Armenian prince who played a significant role in the resistance against Persian rule. In Armenian mythology, Vahan is also associated with the legendary hero Vahan Kamsarakan, who fought against foreign invaders and protected his people from oppression.
